Ray Conniff Club has thousands of members who exchange newsletters.
Many, so enthused to see a live concert, have traveled to South America
to catch a Conniff tour date. Every two years, the members hold a Ray Conniff
Convention in a major European city -- fans travel from all over the world
to attend. The next one is scheduled for 1997 in Paris. Manfred Thönicke,
the club president, prides himself on knowing more about the specifics of
